Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre, formerly known as Coors Amphitheatre, is a 19,492-seat amphitheatre located in Chula Vista, California. It is the largest concert venue of its size in the San Diego area. The venue is owned and operated by Live Nation and opened July 21, 1998,
Mature, attractive landscaping and innovations in traffic management have gone a long way to improve the concert-going experience, but leave yourself an hour’s wiggle room prior to concert time. Built specifically for live musical performances, the sound quality at Coors is excellent for an outdoor venue. Reserved seating for almost 10,000 provides good line of sight around the stage, and another 10,000 can be accommodated through general admission on the lawn (you can’t see the stage very well, but the sound is still great.) Tailgating is a popular pre-concert pastime, but no booze is allowed. Bring your hibachi — live coal disposal bins are provided.
